POSTPONED FROM JUNE

The all day Strategic Leadership Conference will examine in detail two of the key issues facing construction leaders, and will provide some practical workshops and case studies from well known leaders. The morning sessions are to feature leading futurologist Professor Richard Scase as a launch pad for discussion. In the first we will look at strategy: the global and local challenges facing the industry, and how construction leaders can plan to win in this environment.

The second session will focus on the challenges of leading people. Recruiting, retaining and motivating top talent has been identified in a number of industry surveys as the biggest challenge faced by construction leaders, and this session will look at the issues. Then, Chief Executives from two major construction companies will set out their experiences and ideas. The discussion in these morning sessions will also be shaped by the results highlighted in a leadership survey to be completed by delegates in advance, ensuring the content of the conference covers what's really important.

Following lunch we will separate into workshop sessions, offering delegates practical ideas to enhance their leadership skills, and those of their management teams. Back in the main conference hall, the afternoon sessions will include presentations from highly respected leaders, one from the construction industry, and one a well known name from outside the industry. These presentations will look at leadership in practice, with real-life examples, and practical insights.
