The Working Well Partnership is working together to provide a unique series of events for Derbyshire businesses coinciding with October's European Week for Safety and Health at Work.
Health is everyone's business With the aim of promoting the message that 'health is everyone's business', the event will showcase the range of advice and support available to Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) across Derbyshire, enabling them to make contact with organisations that can provide valuable services. Benefits to businesses who invest in the health and wellbeing of their workforce include reduced absenteeism, fewer accidents, improved staff morale, and improved productivity.
The Working Well Partnership The Working Well Partnership is a multi-agency steering group comprising representation from key agencies that provide a strategic lead and guide future local development in workplace health. Members include Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust, Chesterfield College, the Health & Safety Executive, Train to Gain skills brokerage service, Business Link, Environmental Health departments and representatives from the local business community.
Featuring Centred on a 'marketplace' of exhibitors who provide services to SMEs, the event will feature local organisations representing health promotion, health & safety, business support and workforce development. In addition a series of short interactive sessions will run throughout the morning covering a range of topics relevant to workplace health, including manual handling, occupational dermatitis and basic skills.
Lunch included Lunch and refreshments will be provided and the event is free to representatives from local businesses. This is a valuable opportunity for SMEs to find out more about what is available locally to improve the health and well-being of their business and network with others with an interest in promoting workplace health. |
